Janeen Beri
Our first home grown overseas missionary.
Throughout 2010 Janeen was feeling the call of God to offer her skills to those less well off than herself. She tested this call by offering herself as a short term volunteer to the United Church of PNG. She worked at whatever jobs she was given by the Church, including a stint as Librarian at their Theological College in East New Britain. After returning to Townsville she continued to seek the Lord and felt the Lord calling her to resign from her teaching position in Townsville and offer herself to a small Christian School in PNG for a 3 year period. After a lengthy time of waiting for government red tape Janeen took up a teaching position at Highlands Christian Grammar in 2011. Highlands Christian Grammar is an independent non-denominational Primary School, situated in Mt Hagen, the main centre of the stunning Western Highlands of Papua New Guinea. For more information about the school see their website www.highlandsgrammar.com
What an amazing change in lifestyle, moving from the well serviced regional city of Townsville to Mt Hagen in PNG.
>> Please pray for Janeen and her important work of educating the children of PNG.
